Ascan Mergenthaler is a Senior Partner at Herzog & de Meuron. He has been Partner in Charge of a wide variety of projects in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Herzog & de Meuron is a partnership that was founded in 1978 and is today led by five Senior Partners– Jacques Herzog, Pierre de Meuron, Christine Binswanger, Ascan Mergenthaler, and Stefan Marbach. Herzog & de Meuron has received numerous awards, including “The Pritzker Architecture Prize“ in 2001, the “RIBA Royal Gold Medal“, and the “Praemium Imperiale“, both in 2007. Its most well-known buildings include the Tate Modern in London and the National Stadium Beijing.
